Description
Delightful cheesecake balls wrapped in a crispy coating and infused with the sweet flavor of cotton candy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cotton candy (various flavors)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Fold in the crushed cotton candy.
- Using a small cookie scoop, portion the filling into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter with crushed cookie crumbs.
- Roll each chilled cheesecake ball in the cookie crumb mixture until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Carefully add the coated cheesecake bombs and fry until golden brown, about two minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Ensure the oil is at the right temperature for maximum crispiness and don’t skip the chilling step to maintain shape.
