Description

A comforting dish featuring tender shrimp in a rich, creamy garlic sauce infused with paprika, perfect for family gatherings or cozy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup white wine or broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add minced garlic; sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high, add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in white wine or broth, scrape up any bits from the bottom, and let simmer for a couple of minutes.
  5. Add heavy cream and paprika, stirring well to thicken the sauce.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet, allow them to soak in the sauce for 1 minute, and stir in chopped parsley before serving.
  7. Serve over rice or pasta, garnished with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

Ensure shrimp are fresh or properly thawed for the best texture. Be cautious with garlic to avoid burning it.
