A delightful and festive fudge made with tart cranberries and zesty oranges, reminiscent of cherished family memories.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh cranberries (or high-quality dried cranberries)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Cranberries: Rinse fresh cranberries well and remove stems. For dried cranberries, chop them coarsely.
- Melt Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine butter and sweetened condensed milk, stirring until smooth.
- Mix in Sugar: Gradually add granulated sugar, stirring continuously until dissolved.
- Add Cranberries and Oranges: Remove from heat and fold in cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
- Transfer to Pan: Grease an 8-inch square baking dish and pour the mixture in, spreading evenly.
- Set the Fudge: Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours until firm.
- Slice and Serve: Remove from dish, cut into squares, and serve. Optionally, drizzle melted white chocolate over the fudge before slicing.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can freeze for up to three months.
