  • Author: joe

Description

Delightful tarts filled with a tangy cranberry and spicy jalapeño mixture, perfect for holiday gatherings and casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

  • Ready-made pastry dough (for tart shells)
  • Fresh or store-bought cranberry sauce
  • Cream cheese (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • Fresh jalapeños
  • Minced garlic
  • Finely diced onions (or shallots)
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the tart shells by rolling out the pastry dough, cutting small circles, and pressing them into tartlet molds. Prick the bottoms with a fork.
  3. In a medium skillet, sauté the minced garlic and diced onions over medium heat until translucent. Add the cranberry sauce, diced jalapeños, and cream cheese. Stir until creamy and well-combined, cooking for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Spoon the filling into each tart shell, filling them generously but not too much.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the shells are golden brown.
  6. Let them cool slightly before garnishing with fresh cilantro or sliced jalapeños.

Notes

Keep an eye on the tarts while baking. If they brown too fast, cover with foil.
