Description
Delightful tarts filled with a tangy cranberry and spicy jalapeño mixture, perfect for holiday gatherings and casual get-togethers.
Ingredients
- Ready-made pastry dough (for tart shells)
- Fresh or store-bought cranberry sauce
- Cream cheese (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
- Fresh jalapeños
- Minced garlic
- Finely diced onions (or shallots)
- Fresh cilantro or parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the tart shells by rolling out the pastry dough, cutting small circles, and pressing them into tartlet molds. Prick the bottoms with a fork.
- In a medium skillet, sauté the minced garlic and diced onions over medium heat until translucent. Add the cranberry sauce, diced jalapeños, and cream cheese. Stir until creamy and well-combined, cooking for about 5-7 minutes.
- Spoon the filling into each tart shell, filling them generously but not too much.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the shells are golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before garnishing with fresh cilantro or sliced jalapeños.
Notes
Keep an eye on the tarts while baking. If they brown too fast, cover with foil.
