Description
A delightful dip that combines the sweetness of cranberries with the heat of jalapeños, perfect for gatherings and bringing joy to any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 2 jalapeños, diced (seeds removed for less heat)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Rinse the fresh cranberries, removing any damaged ones.
- In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and a splash of water. Cook over low heat until the cranberries burst (about 10-15 minutes).
- Soften the cream cheese in a mixing bowl.
- Add minced garlic, diced jalapeños, chopped green onions, lemon juice, and salt to the cream cheese. Mix well.
- Once the cranberry mixture is cool, fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
- Transfer to a serving bowl, cover, and chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
- Serve at room temperature, garnished with extra green onions or cilantro if desired.
Notes
For a creamier dip, let it sit overnight as it tastes better after flavors meld. Serve with colorful veggies, tortilla chips, or crackers.
