Description

A delightful dip that combines the sweetness of cranberries with the heat of jalapeños, perfect for gatherings and bringing joy to any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 2 jalapeños, diced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fresh cranberries, removing any damaged ones.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and a splash of water. Cook over low heat until the cranberries burst (about 10-15 minutes).
  3. Soften the cream cheese in a mixing bowl.
  4. Add minced garlic, diced jalapeños, chopped green onions, lemon juice, and salt to the cream cheese. Mix well.
  5. Once the cranberry mixture is cool, fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl, cover, and chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
  7. Serve at room temperature, garnished with extra green onions or cilantro if desired.

Notes

For a creamier dip, let it sit overnight as it tastes better after flavors meld. Serve with colorful veggies, tortilla chips, or crackers.
