Description

A warm and delightful dish combining flaky pastry with savory sausages, perfect for brunch and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
  • 12 breakfast sausages (your choice of meat)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme)
  • Dipping sauces (mustard, ketchup, or sweet glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 3-inch squares.
  3. If using uncooked sausages, cook them slightly in a skillet to ensure they are fully cooked.
  4. Place one sausage on each pastry square and fold the corners over the sausage, pinching the seams to seal.
  5. Beat an egg and brush the egg wash over each sealed pastry.
  6. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

These can be frozen after baking. Wrap them individually before storing in a container for quick breakfasts later.
