Ingredients

- 1 lb fresh crab meat
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or chives
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika or cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/4 cup butter (or olive oil for a lighter version)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, egg, chopped herbs, and seasonings. Mix gently to maintain crab integrity.
- Scoop out a tablespoon of the mixture and shape it into a small patty or ball.
- Refrigerate the patties for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter. Add the crab bites and cook until golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and enjoy!
Notes
Serve with garlic aioli or cocktail sauce. Great for meal prep and perfect for freezing before cooking.
