- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- For the cinnamon swirl: 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon
- For the frosting: 4 oz cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- For the cinnamon swirl, mix 2 tbsp of brown sugar with 1 tsp of cinnamon and set aside.
- Drop cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet and make swirls with the cinnamon mixture using a toothpick or knife.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and the centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- For the frosting, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth, then drizzle or spread over cooled cookies.
