Description
Delightfully rich Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies that blend the classic flavors of red velvet cake with creamy cheesecake for a perfect dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter completely. Remove from heat, then stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Mix in the cocoa powder, flour, and red food coloring until just combined.
- In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar and a splash of vanilla until creamy.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Dollop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture on top, then pour the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer. Use a knife to swirl the cheesecake into the brownie batter gently.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Once cool, cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with almond flour or a gluten-free flour blend. Allow brownies to cool completely for clean slicing.
