Delightful chocolate caramel cups that combine rich dark chocolate and buttery caramel, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dark chocolate (high-quality)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts, sprinkles, or peppermint extract

Instructions

  1. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  3. Dollop melted chocolate into each liner, swirling up the sides to create a well.
  4. In a saucepan, whisk together sweetened condensed milk and butter over low heat until smooth.
  5. Spoon the caramel mixture into the chocolate wells of each cup.
  6. Cover the caramel with the remaining melted chocolate and sprinkle with sea salt.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes until firm.
  8. Remove from muffin tin and peel away the liners, then enjoy!

Notes

For vegan options, consider using coconut cream instead of sweetened condensed milk and semi-sweet chocolate.
