Description

A heartwarming dish of tender, slow-cooked beef in a sweet and smoky BBQ sauce, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 lbs beef roast (chuck or brisket)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the beef roast and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and sear the beef on all sides until browned.
  3. In the slow cooker, lay sliced onions and garlic, place the seared beef on top, and pour BBQ sauce over it.
  4. Add broth to keep the dish moist. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the beef with a fork, return to the sauce, and stir to coat.
  6. Serve on buns, over rice, or with sides like coleslaw and pickles.

Notes

For variations, consider using pork shoulder or a vegan meat alternative. Experiment with different BBQ sauces for unique flavors.
