Description

Deliciously crispy cod fillets made effortlessly in the air fryer, perfect for family gatherings or a cozy weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • Olive oil or cooking spray
  • 1 lemon, for marinating and serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Whisk the egg in a separate bowl.
  4. Dip each fillet into the egg, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the coated fillets in a single layer.
  7. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and reaching an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  8. Let the fish rest for a couple of minutes, then serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon.
