- 4 cod fillets
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg
- Olive oil or cooking spray
- 1 lemon, for marinating and serving
Instructions
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Whisk the egg in a separate bowl.
- Dip each fillet into the egg, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the coated fillets in a single layer.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and reaching an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Let the fish rest for a couple of minutes, then serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon.
