Ingredients
Scale
- 2 Salmon Fillets, skin-on
- 4 tablespoons European-style butter
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 Fresh lemon, juice and zest
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and brush both sides with olive oil. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbling, then add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
- Place the seasoned salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crisp.
- Flip the fillets and pour lemon juice over them. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, basting with the butter.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley and additional lemon zest before serving.
Notes
For more richness, add white wine while cooking down the garlic and butter. Let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving for optimal moisture.
