Description

A comforting and hearty pasta dish featuring tender chicken, vibrant broccoli, and a creamy sauce that brings the family together.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or rotini)
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan or mozzarella
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh basil and oregano, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chicken until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, boil salted water and cook pasta according to package instructions, adding broccoli during the last 2-3 minutes.
  4. In the skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Pour in cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in cheese until melted and creamy, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Drain the pasta and broccoli, and add to the skillet with chicken. Toss until well-coated and heated through.
  6. Garnish with additional cheese and fresh herbs. Serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with spices or substitute ingredients as desired. Leftovers can be reheated or frozen for later.
