Description

Tender and flavorful pulled beef cooked slowly in BBQ sauce, perfect for sandwiches or as a hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 34 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the chuck roast and season with salt, pepper, and spices.
  2. Optional: Sear the beef in a skillet until caramelized.
  3. Mix BBQ sauce and beef broth in a bowl, adjusting to taste.
  4. Place beef in the slow cooker and pour sauce over it, coating thoroughly.
  5. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours until tender.
  6. Shred beef in the slow cooker and mix with sauce before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, use vegetable broth; for added sweetness, include a splash of apple cider vinegar or brown sugar.
