Ingredients

  • 2 cups pulled pork
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup creamy cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup smoked gouda cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pulled pork if not using pre-cooked.
  2. Boil the pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat; sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  4. Sprinkle flour, stirring for a few minutes until golden; gradually whisk in milk and cream until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Combine cooked pasta, pulled pork, and cheese sauce in a mixing bowl.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with reserved cheese, and bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute pulled pork with jackfruit or mushrooms. Add vegetables for extra nutrition.
