- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup toffee bits
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually mix into the butter mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans and toffee bits until evenly distributed.
- Press the dough into a lined 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Allow to melt and spread evenly.
- Cool in the pan, then refrigerate to firm up and cut into squares.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use vegan butter. Gluten-free flour blends can replace all-purpose flour. These bars can also be frozen for up to three months.
