Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually mix into the butter mixture until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped pecans and toffee bits until evenly distributed.
  5. Press the dough into a lined 9×9-inch baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Allow to melt and spread evenly.
  8. Cool in the pan, then refrigerate to firm up and cut into squares.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use vegan butter. Gluten-free flour blends can replace all-purpose flour. These bars can also be frozen for up to three months.
