Description
Delightful bite-sized cake balls inspired by the iconic Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, coated in rich chocolate and perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Festive sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Crush the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes in a large mixing bowl until finely crumbled.
- Add softened cream cheese to the crushed cakes and mix until a pliable dough forms.
- Scoop small portions and roll them into bite-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Place on a lined baking sheet.
- Chill the balls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in intervals, until smooth.
- Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, and return to the baking sheet.
- Decorate with sprinkles or crushed candy canes before the chocolate sets.
- Let the coated balls chill again in the refrigerator for an additional 15-30 minutes to set the chocolate.
- Serve on a festive platter and enjoy!
Notes
For a twist, substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with white chocolate, or add crushed peppermint for a refreshing kick.
