- 8 oz fresh mushrooms (cremini or shiitake), sliced
- 1/2 cup Gruyère or Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to ¼ inch thickness.
- Sauté the sliced mushrooms in olive oil with minced garlic and salt over medium heat until soft.
- Spread prosciutto over the pastry, add sautéed mushrooms, cheese, and herbs.
- Fold the pastry over the filling, seal the edges, and brush with egg wash.
- Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
