Description

Delicious and vibrant gluten-free appetizers perfect for celebrating love on Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

  • Mushrooms (button, cremini, or shiitake)
  • Garlic (fresh minced)
  • Olive oil (or any neutral oil)
  • Fresh herbs (thyme, basil, or parsley)
  • Cheese (crumbled feta or goat cheese)
  • Vegetables (peppers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes)
  • Dips (yogurt-based or avocado)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mushrooms: Clean them gently with a damp cloth or paper towel, then slice them into even pieces for uniform cooking.
  2. Sauté the garlic: In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about a minute.
  3. Cook the mushrooms: Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan, stirring gently. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and tender.
  4. Season and finish: Sprinkle freshly chopped herbs, salt, and pepper in the last minute of cooking. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top.
  5. Serve hot: Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional herbs or cheese crumbles.

Notes

Pair with gluten-free crusty bread for dipping or serve as a topping over creamy polenta.
