  • Author: joe
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A delightful treat that perfectly marries salty and sweet flavors with a satisfying crunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups pretzels (traditional twisted or pretzel crisps)
  • 2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup soft caramel candies or homemade caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking pan: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted.
  3. Spread the pretzels: Lay pretzels in an even layer over the lined sheet.
  4. Make the caramel: If using candy, unwrap and melt in a saucepan with a splash of cream or milk. For homemade, bring sugar to boil, add butter and cream until golden.
  5. Assemble the layers: Pour melted chocolate over pretzels, drizzle with melted caramel, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate for about an hour until set.
  7. Break it up: Lift the bark out of the pan and break into pieces.

Notes

For a nutty twist, use peanut butter chips or white chocolate. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
