Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting
  • 8 oz semisweet or white chocolate
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to package instructions and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl.
  3. Mix in the cream cheese frosting by hand until it holds together without being too sticky.
  4. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for about 60 minutes.
  6. Prepare the chocolate coating by melting it in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  7. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, tapping lightly to remove excess.
  8. Cool the cake pops upright in a styrofoam block or cake pop stand until the chocolate sets.
  9. Serve them on a decorative platter and enjoy!

Notes
