Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup M&Ms (or variety of your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla extract.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, whisking well.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the M&M candies evenly throughout the batter.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the center is soft.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a softer cookie, do not overbake and allow the dough to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
