Description

Delicious, soft cookies filled with colorful M&M candies that evoke nostalgia and joy.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup M&Ms (or variety of your choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Cream the butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, whisking well.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in the M&M candies evenly throughout the batter.
  8. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the center is soft.
  10. Allow to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a softer cookie, do not overbake and allow the dough to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
