A nostalgic dish that combines the rich umami of miso with the sweetness of roasted salmon, creating a gourmet feast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on preferred)
  • 3 tablespoons miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Sliced green onions (optional)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • Crushed red pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix together miso paste, honey or maple syrup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
  3. Place salmon fillets on a lined baking sheet, skin side down.
  4. Spread the miso glaze evenly over each fillet.
  5. Roast for 12-15 minutes, or until desired doneness.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top before serving.

Notes

For more flavor, let the salmon sit in the glaze for a few minutes before cooking. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy; aim for an internal temperature of 125°F (52°C).
