- 2 large eggs

- Sprinkles and food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Scoop the dough into balls and place on parchment-lined baking sheets. Gently press into heart shapes if desired and sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes, until edges start to turn golden.
- Allow to cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
- Decorate with icing, sprinkles, or candy as desired.
Notes
For variations, add almond extract or cocoa powder, or try using coconut sugar for a deeper flavor.
