Description

Delight in the nostalgia of making these chewy, colorful Homemade Haribo Candies using real fruit juices and gelatin.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fruit juice (orange, grape, apple, or berry juice)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unflavored powdered gelatin
  • 1 cup water
  • Optional: food coloring, flavor extracts

Instructions

  1. Measure out your fruit juice in a saucepan.
  2. Sprinkle in the unflavored gelatin gradually while stirring and let it sit for five minutes to bloom.
  3. Add sugar and stir over low heat until the mixture is clear and glossy.
  4. Add food coloring and flavor extract if desired.
  5. Pour the mixture into molds and refrigerate for 2-3 hours until set.
  6. Once firm, pop out of molds and dust with sugar if desired.

Notes
