A comforting and flavorful chili made with lean ground turkey, colorful vegetables, and a blend of spices, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 1 can Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Black Beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 Zucchini, diced
  • 1 cup Corn
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Chicken or Vegetable Broth
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Sauté Aromatics: In a large pot or skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions, garlic, and your choice of peppers. Sauté until they soften and become fragrant.
  2. Brown the Turkey: Add ground turkey to the pot. Cook until browned; break it apart with a wooden spoon.
  3. Mix in Tomatoes and Beans: Stir in the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, and black beans. Add your veggies of choice, ensuring they’re coated in that savory mixture.
  4. Season Well: Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Taste as you go and adjust the seasonings to suit your preference.
  5. Add Broth: Pour in chicken or vegetable stock, reduce the heat, and allow it to simmer.
  6. Cook Until Tender: Let the chili simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve with Love: Ladle your hearty chili into bowls and garnish with fresh herbs, a dollop of sour cream, or shredded cheese if you desire.
