- 8 oz fresh mushrooms (cremini or shiitake)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and slice them evenly.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
- When mushrooms are almost done, add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs, then finish with a squeeze of lemon juice. Serve hot.
