Ingredients

- 2 ripe avocados
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup or agave nectar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Slice the ripe avocados in half and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a food processor.
- Add cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the processor.
- Blend the mixture on high until creamy and smooth, pausing to scrape down the sides as necessary.
- Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness with more maple syrup or agave if desired.
- Transfer the mousse into serving bowls or ramekins.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh berries or cacao nibs if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, substitute almond milk with cashew cream. For sweetness alternatives, use ripe bananas or date paste.
