- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 8 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
- Mix the melted chocolate mixture with sugar, then let it cool slightly before adding beaten eggs and vanilla extract.
- Fold in the flour and cocoa powder until just combined.
- Blend cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth for the cheesecake layer.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan, dollop cheesecake filling on top, and swirl with remaining brownie batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool for at least 20 minutes before cutting into squares.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce.
