Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla.
  4. Whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, and salt in another bowl, then fold this dry mixture into the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges firm up.
  8. Let them cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a richer flavor, chill the dough for at least an hour before baking.
