  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugars until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  5. Gradually mix in the milk, followed by the flour, baking powder, and spices.
  6. Fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  10. Drizzle over the warm cake and allow to cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor. Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
