- 1 package cream cheese or butter for frosting

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- Cream together your sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting them.
