Nutella Puff Pastry Valentines

Description

Delicious Nutella Puff Pastry shaped into hearts, perfect for celebrating love on Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for sprinkling)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: sliced strawberries or raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  3. Place a dollop of Nutella in the center of half the heart shapes.
  4. Brush a little egg wash around the edges, then place the other half of the heart shape on top. Press the edges with a fork to seal.
  5. Brush each pastry with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar and, optionally, a pinch of salt.
  6. Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving with whipped cream or fresh fruits.

Notes

For a gourmet touch, drizzle melted chocolate on top or dust with powdered sugar before serving.
