Delightful sautéed garlic mushrooms that are warm, comforting, and perfect for romantic dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz cremini or button mushrooms
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme or parsley
  • 1/4 cup white or red wine (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Gently wipe mushrooms with a damp cloth to clean.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add butter and olive oil.
  3. Add garlic and let it sizzle, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Toss in mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, ensuring they don’t overcrowd the pan.
  5. If using, add wine to deglaze the pan and reduce slightly.
  6. Finish with fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

These mushrooms pair beautifully with grilled chicken, steak, or creamy polenta.
