Description

Instructions

  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  6. Add pink food coloring until the desired shade is reached.
  7. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Prepare frosting by creaming together softened butter and powdered sugar, adding vanilla and optional puree for flavor.
  10. Frost and decorate the cooled cakes as desired.
