- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 200g cremini or shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- Red pepper flakes (to taste)

- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once shimmering, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add sliced mushrooms and a pinch of salt; cook until golden and tender.
- Sprinkle in red pepper flakes and toss to combine.
- Add the drained spaghetti and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss to mix well.
- Remove from heat, stir in fresh herbs and lemon juice before serving.
Notes
Adjust spice levels by varying the amount of red pepper flakes. Add creamy toppings like ricotta or Parmesan for a different twist.
