Description

Decadent Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies featuring a rich chocolate base swirled with a creamy cheesecake layer, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar for cheesecake layer
  • 1 large egg for cheesecake layer
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract for cheesecake layer

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish and line with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and vegetable oil. Add the eggs, red food coloring, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla; mix until well combined.
  7. Pour half of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan. Dollop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture over it, then pour the rest of the red velvet batter on top. Gently swirl the two mixtures together.
  8. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better blending. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for about a week.
