- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup dried fruits (e.g., cranberries or apricots)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine finely chopped nuts, brown sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the baking dish to form the crust.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until slightly golden. Let cool.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs and stir in spices, vanilla extract, and chopped dried fruits.
- Pour the filling over the cooled crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until the filling is set.
- Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes, then cut into bars.
- Dust with powdered sugar or top with whipped cream before serving.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute butter with coconut oil. Also, consider using oats or graham cracker crumbs if nut allergies are a concern.
