A quick and flavorful Thai Basil Chicken Stir-Fry that combines tender chicken and vibrant vegetables with fragrant Thai basil, perfect for sharing with loved ones.

- 1 lb boneless chicken thighs or breasts, sliced thin
- 1 cup Thai basil leaves
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 1 cup snap peas
- 1–2 fresh chilies, sliced (adjust for spice)
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Steamed jasmine rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
- Prep all ingredients: Slice the chicken and chop vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
- Heat a large wok or skillet over high heat.
- Add oil and sauté the chicken until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add more oil if necessary, then sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add vegetables and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Return chicken to the pan, add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and Thai basil. Stir to combine for about a minute.
- Taste and adjust seasoning; serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
For variations, try using tofu for a vegetarian option or adding different vegetables like broccoli or bok choy.
