  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Mini marshmallows or chopped pecans for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Open and drain the canned yams, place them in a large mixing bowl, and mash until smooth.
  3. Add melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. Incorporate eggs, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg; stir until smooth.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Top with mini marshmallows or pecans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
