Strawberry Sweetheart Brownies

Description

Delicious brownies infused with ripe strawberries and rich chocolate, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tbsp water (for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup pureed strawberries (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Stir the granulated sugar into the melted butter until smooth. Whisk in the eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to over-mix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped strawberries gently.
  7. Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Prepare the strawberry glaze by mixing powdered sugar, water, and pureed strawberries until thick and drizzle-able.
  9. Once brownies are cool, pour the glaze on top and allow to set for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
  10. Served warm or at room temperature, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Avoid over-baking for a fudgy texture, and let the brownies cool before glazing to prevent the glaze from running.
