Description
Delicious brownies infused with ripe strawberries and rich chocolate, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tbsp water (for glaze)
- 1/2 cup pureed strawberries (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Stir the granulated sugar into the melted butter until smooth. Whisk in the eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to over-mix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped strawberries gently.
- Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
- Prepare the strawberry glaze by mixing powdered sugar, water, and pureed strawberries until thick and drizzle-able.
- Once brownies are cool, pour the glaze on top and allow to set for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
- Served warm or at room temperature, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Avoid over-baking for a fudgy texture, and let the brownies cool before glazing to prevent the glaze from running.
