Ingredients

- 2 lbs sirloin or flank steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
- 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
- Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- If your crockpot has a sauté function, heat olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the steak bites and mushrooms into the crockpot; pour in the soy sauce and broth, then add chopped vegetables.
- Sprinkle fresh herbs on top, cover, and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until tender.
- Adjust seasoning if needed before serving.
- For a thicker sauce, stir in a cornstarch slurry 20 minutes before serving.
Notes
