Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips (mix of semi-sweet and white)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

- In a large mixing bowl, beat together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Drop cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers are soft.
- Let cool briefly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra gooeyness, do not overbake. Allow cookies to cool slightly to maintain their soft centers.
