Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 medium onion, chopped finely
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley or thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onions, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Mix well but avoid overmixing.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan. Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top.
  4. Bake for 60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Optional: broil for a few minutes for a crustier top.
  5. Let the meatloaf rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes
