Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 and ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chocolate kisses

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and stir until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet ingredients, blending until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll them into balls, and then roll in granulated sugar. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie while they are still warm.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
