Description

A delightful blend of rich chocolate and refreshing peppermint, perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy moments by the fire.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes
  • Optional: sea salt, chopped nuts, espresso powder

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk over low heat. Stir gently until melted together smoothly.
  2. Stir in butter until fully melted and incorporated.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in peppermint extract. Adjust to taste, if needed.
  4. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
  5. Pour the chocolate-peppermint mixture into the prepared dish and top with crushed candy canes.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  7. Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper, slice into squares, and enjoy!

Notes

Keep an eye on the heat while melting to avoid burning. Chill thoroughly for the perfect fudge consistency.
