- 4 cups fresh corn kernels (or frozen corn)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Optional: paprika or cayenne, for added flavor
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using fresh corn, remove the kernels from the cob. If using frozen, allow them to thaw.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, honey, and heavy cream. Combine with the sautéed onion and garlic.
- Fold in the corn and season with salt, pepper, and optional paprika.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and smooth out the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes until the top is golden brown and set.
- Let cool slightly for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Top with shredded cheese during the last 5 minutes of baking for a cheesy crust.
