  • Yield: 20 truffles 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Indulge in the delightful blend of rich chocolate and zesty orange with these creamy truffles, perfect for sharing joy with loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate (60-70% cocoa)
  • 100ml heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange zest
  • Cocoa powder or shredded coconut, for rolling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chocolate Ganache: Finely chop the dark chocolate and place it in a mixing bowl. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it simmers. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate, let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth. Stir in the orange zest.
  2. Refrigerate the Mixture: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours, until firm.
  3. Form the Truffles: Scoop portions of ganache and roll them into balls between your hands.
  4. Coat the Truffles: Roll each ball in cocoa powder, shredded coconut, or chopped nuts until evenly coated.
  5. Chill Again: Place coated truffles on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for another hour.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve on a platter with orange slices for garnish, chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For a sweeter version, substitute dark chocolate with milk chocolate. Ensure to chill the ganache long enough for easy rolling.
