A warm and festive Christmas jam made in a slow cooker, featuring cranberries and citrus with warm spices.
Ingredients

- 4 cups fresh cranberries
- 2 oranges, juiced and zested
- 2 cups granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 package fruit pectin (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries and remove any imperfections. Wash, zest, and juice the oranges.
- In a slow cooker, combine cranberries, orange juice, zest, sugar, and spices. Stir gently.
- Cover and set the Crockpot on low for 4 to 6 hours, stirring halfway through.
- Once thickened, mash with a potato masher or fork to break up larger fruit pieces.
- Adjust sweetness with more sugar or lemon juice to taste.
- Spoon hot jam into sterilized jars, seal, and let cool to room temperature. Store in the refrigerator.
Notes
For a thicker jam, use fruit pectin, and ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed in the slow cooker. Check for doneness around the 4-hour mark.
